Baby-K Rimfire Silencers
Greystone Guns is proud to announce their latest range of over barrel silencers made for rimfire rifles. These have been specifically made with two different internal sizes to give maximum noise reduction for both the .17 & .22 rimfire calibre.
The Baby-K rimfire over barrel silencer uses all the same design features as the Greystone Guns centrefire K-baffle silencer but they have all been scaled down to better suit the smaller sized rimfire rifles.
The Baby-K-17 silencer is suitable for all .17 rimfire cartridges.
You must not fire any .22 bullets through a Baby-K-17 silencer as the internal hole size is too small to allow this and it will cause irreparable damage to the silencer.
The Baby-K-22 silencer is suitable for all .22 rimfire cartridges.
You can fire any .17 calibre rimfire bullets through the Baby-K-22 silencer without causing any damage. But to get the best noise reduction use the Baby-K-17 silencer for all .17 rimfire cartridges.
Features
The Baby-K silencers incorporate an internal muzzle brake which has anti-rotation faces machined into it to stop the silencer from undoing during firing.
Thread sizes available ½ UNF 20 TPI & ½ UNEF 28 TPI
The isolator tube can accommodate barrels up to 22mm diameter at 100mm rearwards from the crown.
The isolator tube provides protection of the barrel from corrosion caused from firing residue inside the silencer.
There is a removeable Acetal plastic bush in the rear of the silencer which needs boring to be 0.3mm – 0.5mm over the barrel diameter at 100mm rearwards from the crown.
The rear bush gives the silencer its strength if dropped or knocked and prevents the silencer from being knocked out of alignment.
There are three K-baffles forward of the muzzle brake which provide very efficient suppression in a very short area which keeps the length of the silencer down to only 100mm forward of the muzzle.
There are two different internal holes through the muzzle brake and the K-baffles to perfectly suit either the .17 or .22 calibres.
Silencer outside diameter is 32mm.
Silencer overall length is 200mm.
Silencer protrudes rearwards over barrel 100mm.
Silencer protrudes forward of the muzzle 100mm.
Baby-K 17 Rimfire Silencer
The Baby-K-17 silencer is designed for 17 Mach 2, 17 HMR and 17 WSM
Hearing safe levels (less than 141 DB) are achieved with both 17 Mach2 and 17HMR high velocity ammo with the Baby-K-17 silencer.

The Baby-K-22 silencer is designed for .22LR and .22Mag.
Subsonic ammo will give the greatest sound reduction.

Muzzle Forward Rimfire Silencers
Our muzzle forward rimfire silencers are made by Greystone Guns in Christchurch, New Zealand and are of an efficient, high quality, muzzle forward design. They have been designed and manufactured to with stand the pressures and suppress the sound of all sub-sonic and high velocity rimfire ammo available.
These silencers have specifically engineered baffle systems manufactured from 7075 aluminium that provide extremely good noise reduction for a rimfire silencer. Their small size (28mm dia x 175mm long), light weight (150 grams) and custom knurling pattern on the silencer body produce a good looking, high quality, high decibel reduction silencer that is not too long or too fat.
These silencer are available in two calibres (22 Mag/17 HMR or 17 HMR only) and come with a standard finish in Cerakote Graphite Black (other Cerakote colours are available from $40).

These are made by Greystone Guns in Christchurch, New Zealand and are high quality, muzzle forward silencers designed to withstand the pressures and suppress the sound of all subsonic and high velocity ammunition fired from rimfire rifles.

Over Barrel Rimfire Silencers
Our over barrel rimfire silencers are made by Greystone Guns in Christchurch, New Zealand and are a high quality, over barrel silencer that is designed to withstand the pressures and suppress the sound of all sub-sonic and high velocity ammunition fired from rimfire rifles. They are a scaled down version of our centre fire silencers internally and externally and offer the best sound reduction.
Due to the over barrel design with its two contact points these silencers are extremely strong and are less likely to get knocked out of alignment than muzzle forward varieties.
They are available in two different sized models that have an overall length of 200mm or 250mm. Both of these silencers come back over the barrel 100mm rearward of the muzzle and the 200mm model protrudes 100mm forward of the muzzle and the 250mm model 150mm forward of the muzzle.
They both have a barrel isolator tube to contain the gases within the silencer. This silencer is designed to fit barrels with a ½ unf 20 tpi thread and barrels with a diameter at 100 mm rearward of the muzzle up to 19mm. The rear of silencer has a removable plastic bush that needs to be machined out to suit the diameter of the barrel at 100mm rearwards of the muzzle.
They are also available in two different calibres models to suit calibres up to 17HMR or 22Mag. The 22Mag model can have calibres up to 17HMR also fired through it without problem. Greater noise reduction is available if you use the 17HMR model silencer with the 17HMR though.
Our decibel testing has shown that the 200mm model over barrel silencer is most suitable for .22LR high velocity and subsonic ammo and for the 17 Mach 2. Our decibel testing has also shown that the 250mm over barrel silencer is most suitable for 22Mag and 17HMR. The 200mm over barrel silencer is strong enough to be used on either a 22Mag or 17HMR but will not give the same decibel reduction as the 250mm models.
Standard model 200mm and 250mm rimfire over barrel silencers are available standard with a matt black finish. They can be Cerakoted other colours on request starting from $50 extra or you can have other designs or patterns as available please inquire on price and availability.
